PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE TOWN OF ORANGE PARK 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

 The Town Council of the Town of Orange Park will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in the Orange Park Town Hall Council Chambers, located at 2042 Park Avenue, the corner of Park and Kingsley Avenue, at 7:00 P.M.  The public hearing is scheduled for the purpose of considering transmittal of a large-scale text amendment to the Town of Orange Park 2040 Comprehensive Plan. 

The ordinance to be transmitted is entitled:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF ORANGE PARK, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, ORDINANCE NO. 19-18, TO PROVIDE FOR A NEW ELEMENT TO THE 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 163.3177(6), FLORIDA STATUTES, TRANSMITTAL TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA’S VARIOUS AGENCIES FOR EXPEDITED STATE REVIEW; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Any person interested in commenting on the proposed ordinance may appear and be heard at the public hearing.  A copy of the referenced legislation in this advertisement may be examined in the office of the Town Clerk, Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. 

Any person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Town Council of the Town of Orange Park with respect to any matter considered at this meeting or hearing will need a verbatim record of the proceedings made, which record would include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
