NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lake Asbury Municipal Service Benefit District (LAMSBD), a dependent special district in Clay County, Florida, created by Chpt. 86-392, Laws of Florida, is seeking proposals for qualifications from qualified certified public accounting firms to provide internal certified public accounting services to LAMSBD.
The internal CPA services sought by LAMSBD include, but are not limited to, the following: entering invoices on the books and processing payments; processing payroll; recording deposits from Clay County Tax Assessor; preparing monthly Treasurer’s Report; attending monthly LAMSBD meetings as requested; preparing payroll tax returns; assisting the Board with preparing the annual budget; assisting external auditor with the annual audit; and processing the annual report for the State of Florida Local Government Reporting.

LAMSBD is requesting that interested certified public accountants and firms provide qualification proposals that include a summary of services offered, experiences with government entities, rates, and fees. Proposals for qualifications must be submitted as nine separate hard copies and also an electronic copy on one USB drive, all in one package and delivered by no later than 4:00 P.M., Friday, July 28th, 2023, to the Law Offices of Cobb & Gonzalez, P.A., Attn.: Hans Wahl, Esq., 4655 Salisbury Rd., Suite 200, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
The submitting firm’s name and address must be shown on the outside of the sealed package envelope and clearly marked “Submission for Internal CPA Services”. This is a Qualification Based Selection procedure for internal certified public accounting services for LAMSBD, and there will be no public opening of the proposals submitted. Proposals for qualifications will not be accepted or considered unless received by the proposal deadline. The Post Office or courier date stamp shall be conclusive as to the timeliness of filing. LAMSBD is not responsible for the U.S. Mail or private couriers regarding mail being delivered by a specified time so that a proposal can be considered.
