Man jailed for violating wife’s injunction for protection
ORANGE PARK – A Jacksonville man was arrested for violating an injunction against domestic violence after he sent a photo of himself to his wife while he was on her front porch, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Raymond Curry Leathers, 45, also was charged on Dec. 5 for being within 1,000 feet of his wife’s residence, resisting arrest, contempt of court for violation of domestic violence with a rifle and ammunition and violation of repeated sexual dating violence.
CCSO found Leathers on Blanding Boulevard shortly after the wife reported the incident. She also said he was endangered with a small caliber rifle. Leathers reportedly refused orders by the deputies to show his hands, but he finally responded when a deputy drew his weapon.
Part of the injunction included him not possessing a firearm or ammunition.
Leathers remained in the Clay County Jail without bond.
