ORANGE PARK – An 18-year-old Jacksonville man surrendered to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in connection with the triple-shooting Feb. 21 at The Daq Shak at 1745 Wells Road.
Jacob Elijah Jusa was arrested on March 30 after being charged with one count of attempted second degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after three men were shot in the parking lot during a fight, which started when Jusa’s cousin bumped against one of the shooting victims inside the store.
The two men argued in the parking lot and starting fighting, according to the arrest report. Jusa fired a handgun from a car, CCSO said. One man was shot in the hand, another in the through his left side and thigh and a third in the abdomen.
Jusa is being held at the Clay County Jail without bond.
Three arrested following month-long burglary ring
ORANGE PARK – Three men were arrested after a mall worker was seen giving merchandise away during a month-long spree.
Stanley O’Neal Dye, 24, and Kenneth Reginald Norris Jr., 35, both of Jacksonville, and Matthew Gabriel Dye, 20, of Orange Park, were charged with coordinating with others to commit retail theft of more than $3,000 following an investigation at Belk at the Orange Park Mall.
According to the arrest report, Matthew Dye worked as an online filler at Belk. He was “observed” giving unpaid merchandise to Stanley Dye and Kenneth Norris from March 6 to March 31. The three were arrested on March 31. Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies found some of the stolen items in their cars in the parking lot.
