Janis Kay Stuckey
Janis Kay Stuckey, 74, of Orange Park, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2022 following a battle with cancer.
She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. She retired as a lieutenant from the Clay County Fire and Rescue after 19 years of service where she was known by many as “Mom.”
She is survived by her fiancée, Michael Sible, her daughter, Kim East (Glenn), her sister, Debbie Corson, her grandkids, Matthew East, Justin East (Katherine) and Dylan East and her great-grandchildren, Mason and Emilynn. Her mother Jennie and father Albert were waiting for her at the gates of heaven.
Services will be on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Russell Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow immediately at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Janis’s memory to either Haven Hospice or to the Donna Deegan Foundation.

Ricky Evans
Ricky Evans age 64 of Bomont, WVA, went to his heavenly home on November 24th in Middleburg, FL.
Ricky was a hard worker, a mentor to many in the field of concrete construction, and a provider for his family with a love for camping, motorcycles, mechanic work, and classic cars.
Mr. Evans was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Evans. Sons, Michael DeMoss, Bruce Evans, and Ricky Evans (wife, Crystal). Daughters, Shannon Evans and Tiffany Higginbotham (husband, Bryan). Grandchildren, Jasman, Victoria, Ricky Jr., Kaylie, Lilly, and soon to be Great Grandfather. Also, proceeded by his mother and father, Lulia & Bruce Evans, brother, James Evans and sister, Lora Phillips.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home 2335 Sandridge Rd. Green Cove Spring, FL 32043.
