Victoria Lorain LaLonde (Prokop)
Victoria Lorain LaLonde (Prokop) age 56, died Wednesday September 15, 2021, at Baptist Clay South Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida after a very courageous battle with Breast Cancer. She was surrounded by her loving Mother and her Sister.
Victoria was born November 24, 1964 in Wayne, Michigan. Her childhood was spent growing up in Howell, Michigan. Much of her summers and vacations were spent in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with extended family. She graduated from Howell High School in 1982.
Victoria received professional success as the Office Manager for a graphic design company, The Word Baron. After her time there Victoria went out on her own and bought a local company Etch Cetera, an engraving, trophy and award shop. During the mid-90s she discovered that all little girls that were participating in community sports were receiving trophies with “boys heads.” She searched for a vendor she could purchase “girl heads” from for the top of their trophies. She always had an incredible eye for detail. She sold Etch Cetera in 2001 when she relocated to Florida. While in Florida, she obtained her Property Management License and worked in both commercial and residential management.
Despite her successful business endeavors, there was nothing more important to her than her role as a Mother. The greatest joys Victoria experienced in her life were her three daughters. She was extremely active in supporting their activities including cheer, gymnastics and marching band. Through attending these activities, she also had the opportunity to make many new friends. Victoria also enjoyed traveling, with her most recent trips to Mexico and Italy. She loved Mexican Food, chocolate, wine, home decorating shows and especially crime shows. Always first and foremost, though, was every opportunity to spend time with her three daughters and her four beautiful grandchildren.
Victoria was preceded in death by her Father, Robert LaLonde. She is survived by her Mother, Mary Lynne LaLonde; daughters Erica (Carl) Ogborn, Peyton and Christa Prokop and sister Valerie (James) Seagram. She was an exceptional Grandma to Briana, Alyssa, Colton and Madisyn. She is also survived by nieces Taylor and Olivia and nephews, Evan, James and William. She also leaves behind many beautiful friends, far too many to list.
