OAKLEAF — In the spirit of Disney, theater students at Oakleaf High School became animated characters on Saturday, March 15.
The group hosted their fourth annual Disney Dinner Theatre, dedicated to bringing a sprinkle of pixie dust to local children and Disney enthusiasts.
As guests entered the school cafeteria, they were escorted to their table by some familiar faces including Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Mama Odie from the Princess and the Frog or even the Genie from Aladdin.
As guests were served dinner, 35 students portrayed classic Disney characters and mixed and mingled with them, creating a personable experience with some well-known faces.
The event also featured actors performing a showcase of 29 songs. From belting with Anna and Elsa during “For the First Time in Forever” and escaping the guards with Aladdin during “One Jump Ahead” to training with popular Disney villains during the Mulan classic “I’ll Make a Man out of You,” guests were fully enthralled in the experience.
