GREEN COVE SPRINGS — With a number of thrilling tricks up his sleeve, magician Jay Mattioli left the crowd stunned during his show at the Clay County Agricultural Fair on Friday, April 4.

Mattioli’s “Electrifying Magic” stunt spectacle featured blaring music, comedy and top-notch illusions that left many simply wondering how.

From Mattioli disappearing into thin air to him getting sliced in half by a hair dryer, observers were engaged and mesmerized throughout the show.

The grand finale saw one audience member levitate in the air.

Mattioli has been entertaining the masses for over 25 years, becoming one of the youngest magicians in history to be recognized by his peers as a two-time champion of stage magic. He appeared as a finalist on FOX’s reboot of Showtime at the Apollo and a quarterfinalist on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

You can catch Mattioli and his mind-blowing illusions in the E-Zone Daily Acts section of the fair during the following dates and times:

  • April 10 at 3:45 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

  • April 11 at 1:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.

  • April 12 at 12:45 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

  • April 13 at 11:45 a.m. and 2 p.m.
