NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE

The Board of County Commissioners of Clay County, Florida, will hold a public hearing Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard, in the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room on the Fourth Floor of the Clay County Administration Building, 477 Houston Street, Green Cove Springs, Florida, to consider the adoption of an ordinance bearing the following title:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CLAY COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CLAY COUNTY ORDINANCE 2017-9, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE WILFORD PRESERVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT IN ORDER TO AMEND AND EXPAND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE WILFORD PRESERVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 190, FLORIDA STATUTES (2022); PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
All interested persons and affected units of general-purpose government are invited to attend the public hearing and be heard by the Board on matters pertaining to this ordinance. Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person or affected unit of general-purpose government deciding to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at the meeting of the Board at which the public hearing is held or at any subsequent meeting to which the Board has continued its deliberations is advised that such person or affected unit of general-purpose government will need a record of all proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of all proceedings is made, which must include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
The Wilford Preserve Community Development District is comprised of 256 acres, more or less, generally located north of Kindlewood Drive, west of Little Black Creek, east of Cheswick Avenue, and south of Spencer Plantation Boulevard, entirely within unincorporated Clay County, Florida. Petitioner has submitted a petition to amend the boundary of the Wilford Preserve Community Development District by adding 86.55 acres, for a total of approximately 342.55 acres. A copy of the petition and the proposed ordinance may be inspected by members of the public in the office of the Clay County County Attorney, Second Floor of the Clay County Administration Building, 477 Houston Street, Green Cove Springs, Florida, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of legal holidays.
