NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

THE PUBLIC IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Board of County Commissioners of Clay County, Florida, will hold a public hearing Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard. The hearing will be held in the BCC Meeting Room, 4th Floor of the Clay County Administration Building, 477 Houston Street, Green Cove Springs, Florida. The public hearing is scheduled for the purpose of considering adoption of an ordinance entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CLAY COUNTY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO ORDINANCE NO. 2021-48 WHICH IMPOSED A MORATORIUM ON ANY PROPOSED LAND USE AMENDMENT TO THE CLAY COUNTY 2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN THAT EFFECTIVELY INCREASES THE ALLOWABLE RESIDENTIAL DENSITIES WITHIN THE LAKE ASBURY MASTER PLAN AREA OR ANY PROPOSED REZONING THAT EFFECTIVELY INCREASES THE ALLOWABLE RESIDENTIAL DENSITIES OF ANY PARCEL OF LAND WITHIN THE LAKE ASBURY MASTER PLAN AREA IN ORDER TO EXTEND THE MORATORIUM WHICH WILL EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31, 2022; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING DIRECTIONS NOT TO CODIFY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance. After the public hearing the Board may take immediate action on the proposed ordinance, or may continue its deliberations to a date, time and place then announced without publishing further notice thereof. A copy of the proposed ordinance may be inspected by members of the public in the office of the Clay County County Attorney, Second Floor of the Clay County Administration Building, 477 Houston Street, Green Cove Springs, Florida, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of legal holidays.
Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, a person deciding to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the meeting or at any subsequent meeting to which the Board has continued its deliberations is advised that such person will need a record of all proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of all proceedings is made, which must include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
