Letter to the Editor: Join Safe Animal Shelter’s commitment to providing safe haven for pets

Posted

Dear Clay County residents:

Since opening our doors in 1992, the Safe Animal Shelter has provided a safe haven for unwanted, abused and neglected pets in Clay County and surrounding areas. Over the years, thousands of caring people have demonstrated that they would like to put an end to homeless pets in Clay County by helping them find forever homes, which is why our founders decided to offer membership to the people in the community. Since then, our amazing members have helped more than 20,000 animals find loving, forever families.

We are hoping you will help us in our mission to find loving homes for unwanted animals, giving them a second chance at living a happy life. By becoming a Safe Animal Shelter Member, you will join us in the fight to save the lives of every unwanted pet. As a member, you will be recognized on our Member Honor Wall and receive a window decal to show that you are a 2021 Member of the Safe Animal Shelter. With your monthly or one-time, contribution, you will join an organization with over 29 years of experience in finding perfect families for every pet.

Safe Animal Shelter needs your support to rescue abandoned animals, make them ready for adoption, and find them a forever home. We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of individuals like yourself. Donations help us cover every-day medical expenses, such as vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and de-worming. At times, we need funds to pay for more critical medical procedures, especially for those animals we rescue from abusive and neglectful situations. Without donations from our members, we struggle to provide the medical care necessary for saving these animals’ lives.

We know you care!

Please accept our invitation to become a 2021 Member of Safe Animal Shelter. Join us in the joy of giving homeless pets a second chance at life, and at love. Complete and mail the attached Membership Enrollment Form or make your donation online at https://safeanimalshelter.com/donations/membership-enrollment/.

The animals living at Safe Animal Shelter are hoping you will join as a Member who creates a happy ending for their story. Last year, thanks to our Members, we were able to find forever homes for 1,600 homeless pets; please join us in creating happy endings for even more in 2021.

Happy Tails,

Sherry Mansfield, Executive Director
