KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - After a first period of passing and four interceptions; two per team, Orange Park High's flag football team struck twice before the half to take a 12-0 lead into the lockers, but Keystone Heights roared out with two scores to tie the game, then an overtime touchdown for the win.
Keystone Heights improves to 2-1 with a 20-19 win over Tocoi Creek and a 24-13 loss to Baker County. Orange Park goes to 0-2 with a 13-0 loss to Baldwin. Keystone Heights next travels to Mandarin on Thursday, February 27.
Fleming Island opened with a 27-6 loss to New Smyrna Beach while Clay rolled to a 31-0 win over Dunnellon on Saturday. Clay travels to Middleburg for the Broncos season opener on Tuesday, February 25.
Ridgeview will open their season on Thursday, February 26 at Bradford then travel to Fleming Island on March 5. Fleming Island had a Tuesday game with Bartram Trail (1-1) on Tuesday, February 25 with a road game at Baldwin on Thursday.
Oakleaf opened with a 20-6 win over Andrew Jackson and will visit University Christian on Monday, February 24.
