KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – Off-Road United Foundation is returning to the Keystone Heights Airport during Veterans Day weekend to host Krawl’n For The Fallen. The seventh event will feature several activities to honor the nation’s police officers and K-9s who were lost in the line of duty and show support for their families.
Every year, Krawl’n For The Fallen, one of Florida’s largest off-road events, brings together law enforcement and the community for fellowship and fun. In 2020 we had more than 800 jeeps and 2,000 participants.
This year, Krawl’n For The Fallen kicks off on Friday, November 12 at The Florida International Rally smf Motorsport Park Airport with a special event to meet and greet old and new friends. The event continues at The FIRM on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13-14, with the raising of the Big Thin Blue Line Flag, off-road trails and obstacles, demonstrations, vendors and family activities throughout the two days.
A Memorial Night Ride will take place Saturday night at 9 p.m. There will be 300 Jeeps lined up for a memorial ride to remember the sacrifices made by the fallen police officers and K-9s and honor their courage. Survivors will be paired with Jeeps to experience the ride through luminaries, blue lights, flags that honor each fallen officer and K-9 to pay respect to the families.
The schedule includes Show and Shine from 6-8 p.m., followed by a concert by the Ben Carter Band on Friday; trails and obstacles course competitions, the Volusia County Jeepers 5K, demonstrations by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team, a moment of silence, the Zechariah with “Running 4 Heroes” mile run, a survivor ride, motorcycle demonstrations by the Clay sheriff’s office and a night ride on Saturday; and trails, vendors and obstacle course and a Clay sheriff’s K-9 demonstration on Sunday. The event will conclude at 2 p.m. when a customized 2006 Jeep LJ will be given away. All proceeds from the event will go to help families of law enforcement and partner charities supported by Off-Road United.
All Krawl’n For The Fallen activities are open to the general public for a nominal fee of $5 for spectators a day and $80 for off-road vehicles for a weekend pass, which includes all passengers. The memorial night ride has sold out. For more information, visit www.OffRoadUnitedFoundation.com.
