ORANGE PARK - The Magnolia Cemetery was filled with a crowd as many came to honor local Veterans on Monday.

The Historical Society of Orange Park and the Town of Orange Park hosted their annual wreath-laying ceremony, which featured a presentation of colors from the Orange Park High NJROTC Color Guard, remarks from local leaders and organizations and guest speakers—including Kimberly Anding, a U.S. Air Force retiree with the First Coast Honor Flight.

Korean War Veteran Billie Joe Cate also read a memorial poem recognizing the fight of our national heroes.

Additionally, the ceremony gave awards to elementary, junior high, and high school student essay winners. The top winning veteran essays were read at the ceremony.

During the program, the crowd witnessed a Dreamland Squadron flyover.
