There are 30,474 registered Democrats in Clay County. Do you know many who voted for Kamala Harris to be president?
None.
How many people in the United States have voted for her to be the president?
None.
How many delegates has she ever won in her lifetime toward the Democrat nomination?
None.
And yet, she is the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate.
For the past two years, the Democrat Party has marched to the same drumbeat: “ Donald Trump is the existential threat to our democracy.”
Well, let’s look up the definition of the word democracy. It is: “a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.”
Did a state’s population or eligible members determine whether Harris would be ordained as the Democrat nominee after Joe Biden dropped out on Sunday?
What the Democrats are doing isn’t a threat against democracy. It is a violation of our democracy. Keep poking the bear.
Every registered voter in the United States, not just Democrats, should be concerned by what is happening. A handful of powerbrokers, likely led by former president Barack Obama, are making decisions that affect millions. The rest of the 49 million Democrat voters be damned.
When Biden dropped out, he offered his “full support and endorsement for Kamala to be our party’s nominee this year.” He knew he had no authority to appoint her as the official nominee because he wasn’t part of the Democrat machine. After all, the machine ran him out of the office.
Some suggest since Harris was on the ticket with Biden during the primaries, she is entitled to the 15.5 million votes he received. Her votes, however, were for vice president.
Harris ran for president in 2020 but didn’t win a single delegate. She dropped out two months before the first caucus in Iowa after her campaign ran out of money.
The Democrats are so zealous in their primary goal of defeating Trump, that they are willing to violate everything that is morally, legally and politically correct. They believe the ends justify the means, even if it crosses the line.
The convention begins Aug. 19 in Chicago, but the Democratic National Committee could start voting on the ticket as early as next week. DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison said there may be a virtual roll call to make Harris’ nomination official to ensure no problems at the convention.
The 49 million registered Democrat voters in the United States will have no voice in the decision.
If Harris is successful, she will be the first presidential candidate in United States history never to win a vote or delegate in a statewide election.
Even Black Lives Matters is concerned, posting, in part: “We call for the Rules Committee to create a process that allows for public participation in the nomination process, not just a nomination by party delegates. This moment calls for decisive action to protect the integrity of our democracy and the voices of Black voters.”
Harris is Black.
This country belongs to all the people, not the political machine operated by a few connected operatives. Candidates must earn their place on the ballot by the people and only be anointed with discussion.
The past few years have been like no other. We’ve had a president who’s been mentally and physically dysfunctional. The White House has been an ongoing “Weekend at Bernie’s.” The question is, who’s been pulling the strings? Who’s been operating the machine?
