ORANGE PARK – Officials with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, county commission, Chamber of Commerce and Town of Orange Park, met with shop owners and residents along Wells Road on Nov. 3 as part of the Gateway to Clay program, which will use federal and state money to give the main corridor into Clay County a makeover. “It’s a good thing. No matter where you go, you’re going to have good and bad,” said Randy Harrington, a PGA Professional at Masterfit Golf. “They came in, said what they are doing, going around Wells Road talking to people about the issues they’ve had.” Residents, including those who don’t work or live on Wells Road, are encouraged to fill out a survey on their ideas for the area at claycountygov.com.
