FLEMING ISLAND - Freshman Alyzabeth Morgan finished off five straight par holes at Eagle Harbor Country Club with three bogies before a final birdie to land a 38 score en route to leading her Fleming Island High girls golf team to a 173-297 win Monday afternoon over Ridgeview High School.
Womens golf
Fleming Island had four golfers in the 40s scoring range with Cambree Hodge and Kalia Polete, both sophomores, hitting 42s and senior Kennedy Williams the final scorer at 44. Ridgeview was led by sophomore Taylor Margarone’s 64 score with Kallista Adriana at 73.
In girls action on Monday at Eagle Landing, Keystone Heights, led by Candace Jackson’s 43, beat Middleburg 222-237. The Lady Indians got a 48 from MJ Rivera.
Middleburg junior Delaney Clark led the Lady Broncos with a 53 with Kimberly Feeney at 56.
Mens golf
In a boys match on August 30, Fleming Island lost a key 3A match with Bartram Trail 146-150. Charles Lonsdale’s 36 led the Eagles with Jameson Adams at 37, Colton Swartz at 38 and Benny Opperman at 39.
Bartram Trail was led by Jacob Carter’s 33.
