These members of the Florida State University Marching Chiefs are all graduates of Fleming Island High and former members of FIHS Eagle Band One. This photo was taken on June 6 on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France after more than 385 members of the band competed their march in the parade along the beach commemorating the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. The FSU band had the honor of being the only U.S. collegiate band to participate. They proudly represented FSU, the state of Florida and the United States of America with appearances in Normandy and Paris. Former Fleming Island band members included: (top, from left) Ryan Hastie, Anna Johnson, Brandon Matulonis, Zach Law, Cameron Hinkle, Sam Pelletier and Brenden Richman; (bottom, from left) Aubrey Mount, Emely Gazarov, Brooke Tabor, Tasha Rivera and Elise McKenzie.
