Cole LeClair, graduated Middleburg High School football All-Stater and future Valdosta State University scholarship player, shows off his eight pound, 3.7 ounce 23-inch bass caught at White Springs’ Bienville Plantation on Sat., May 9. LeClair’s fishing line was impeded by a phenomena called “birdnesting” where the fish line becomes balled up off the reel causing LeClair to adapt and improvise before landing the fish in about two minutes.
