ALWAYS THE CROSS

Posted

The cross is the center of the message of Christianity. Without the cross, including the resurrection, there is no Gospel.

Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead – the message of salvation and redemption – is the very heart of the New Covenant. This is the message that gives us life!

We need to make the cross, including the message of the resurrection, central in our lives. When we put the key part of the message of Jesus the focus of our life, we are positioned to receive all the powerful benefits of a life lived for Him.

When we make this decision, we receive the blessings that flow into our lives only through the cross.

In the cross, we have forgiveness. The first words Jesus spoke from the cross were forgiveness. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)

In the cross, we have redemption. “…you were ransomed with the precious blood of Christ …” (1 Peter 1:18-19) He paid the price of our ransom from the markets is sin.

In the cross, we are adopted into the eternal spiritual family of God. Through His cross, He has saved us “so that he could adopt us as his very own children.” (Galatians 4:5 NLT)

Jesus, keep me near the cross, there a precious fountain— Free to all, a healing stream—flows from Calvary’s mountain. In the cross, in the cross, be my glory ever; Till my raptured soul shall find rest beyond the river

Identify with the cross of Jesus in your life. It is the conduit through which the victorious power of Father God will flow into your life. Paul, the great apostle of Jesus, said, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20-21)
