GREEN COVE SPRINGS— Clay County acquired the 641-acre Veterans Park site in March 2000 through the federal government to permanently use and maintain it as a public park.
The county’s goal for the site is to continue to provide public access to recreation opportunities through a sustainable long-term plan.
Due to changing recreation needs and trends, the Parks and Recreation Department has begun Phase 1 of a Feasibility Study and Site Plan. This phase includes asking the community for input through a short survey at surveymonkey.com/r/ClayCountyVeteransPark.
