ORANGE PARK – With the help of a confidential informant, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for possessing cocaine and two counts of sale and delivery of cocaine on July 12.
According to the arrest report, Michael Thomas Sommise, 26, was booked into the Clay County Jail following a controlled purchase on Valderia Drive on June 6.
CCSO obtained a felony arrest charge for the sale and delivery of cocaine. They conducted a traffic stop at Blanding Boulevard and Orange Park Northway on June 18. A search of his car uncovered a plastic bag with more cocaine.
Deputies and Sommise returned to Sommise’s home with a search warrant. They found narcotics, a handgun, and cocaine in Sommise’s bedroom and cocaine residue in the car of one of Sommise’s house guests.
The investigation led to charges and an arrest on July 12. His bond was set at $105,009.
