Hyder: Clay County Fair concert tickets are selling fast
GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Concert tickets for this year’s Clay County Agriculture Fair are going fast.
While early sales have been brisk, fair general manager Tasha Hyder said nights featuring 38 Special and Vanilla Ice with Sir Mix-A-Lot have been especially popular.
The fair was canceled last year by the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s fair, scheduled for April 1-11, currently won’t have any virus-related restrictions.
Acts include: Tenille Arts and Jon Langston on April 1; 38 Special, Duval County Line and Curt Towne Band on April 2; Gretchen Wilson and Jessie G on April 3, John Michael Montgomery and Pam Tillis on April 4; Vanilla Ice and Sir Mix-A-Lot on April 5; Plain White T’s on April 6; Filmore, Niko Moon and Tenille Towns on April 7; and, the Bellamy Brothers on April 8.
Concert tickets include fair admission, Hyder said.
Tickets range from $20 for standing room only to $30-$100 for VIP seating for selected shows.
Advance tickets may be purchased online at claycountyfair.org or by visiting any of the nine discount ticket outlets found at the fair’s website.

Blue Angels show at NAS Jacksonville scrubbed by COVID-19

JACKSONVILLE – After careful consideration, Naval Air Station Jacksonville leadership has decided to cancel the 2021 NAS JAX Blue Angels Air Show, April 10-11.
Department of Defense Health Protection Conditions, as well as guidelines imposed by the Centers for Disease Control, and local civilian authorities, currently prevent execution of the air show.
NAS Jacksonville said it looks forward to welcoming the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team, The Blue Angels, back to Jacksonville in the future.
