Fleming Island’s Gerri Williams earns Hofstra diploma

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Gerri Williams, of Fleming Island, recently graduated from Hofstra University, earning an MA in Health Law and Policy.
Hofstra University is a nationally ranked and recognized private university that is the only school to ever host three consecutive presidential debates (2008, 2012 and 2016).

Viens on President’s List at Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ken. – In recognition of academic performance, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at University of the Cumberlands has announced Theodore Reins of Green Cove Springs earned a spot on the President's List for the spring 2022 semester.
To be eligible for the President's List, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 4.0, receive an "A" grade in UC Engage, and be in good academic standing.

Three local students on Columbia College’s Dean's list

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Columbia College recently announced Aiyi Xu of Fleming Island, Francesco Violante of Green Cove Springs and Joe Wyly of Orange Park each were on the Dean's list for the Spring 2022 semester.
To be named to the dean's list, a student must have completed 12 semester hours in a 16-week period and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0-point scale.

Fleming Island’s Hyams on North Georgia’s Dean’s List

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Colt Patrick Hyams of Fleming Island made the spring 2022 Dean's List at the University of North Georgia after achieving at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

Green Cove’s Murphy selected as Chancellor's Scholar at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – Renee Elizabeth Murphy of Green Cove Springs was among 82 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students who were be recognized as Chancellor's Scholars during the undergraduate commencement ceremony.
Murphy is a psychology and political science major in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Chancellor's Scholars are students who have maintained 4.0 grade-point averages on all collegiate work at Nebraska and elsewhere.

Dobbertien inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society

BATON ROUGE, La. – Mark Dobbertien, of Orange Park, Florida, was initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Dobbertien was initiated at University of Florida.
Dobbertien is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.
