CLAY COUNTY - While some of us were toasting the new year with champagne and fireworks, three families were celebrating the birth of a child shortly after the stroke of midnight on New Year's Day. The first was Angelica at Baptist Medical Center Clay. She was delivered at 12:46 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Next was Ariel at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces. No babies were born at Ascension St. Vincent's in Middleburg on Jan. 1.
