GREEN COVE SPRINGS – A school crossing guard was fired Saturday after he was charged Saturday, Aug. 17, with exposing himself to a woman on Aug. 2.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said Johnny Ray Long, 43, of Middleburg, was not on duty when he was accused of exposing himself at a local business.
“The Sheriff’s Office remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in law enforcement practices,” the agency said in a release. “By taking swift action in this incident, the Sheriff’s Office reaffirms its commitment to selflessly serving and protecting all members of the community.”
