OPMC selects Kathy Neely as Chief Nursing Officer

ORANGE PARK – Orange Park Medical Center, an HCA Healthcare affiliate, announced Kathy Neely, MSN, MBA, NEA-BC has been selected as its new Chief Nursing Officer. Neely had been serving as the Interim Chief Nursing Officer for the past several months prior to this appointment.

Neely has many years of nursing and executive leadership experience including HCA Healthcare’s Wesley Medical Center and Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.

“With her strong leadership and commitment to providing quality care to patients, she has led the development of nursing leadership initiatives and garnered improvement in physician satisfaction with nursing services among many other things” says Lisa Valentine, Chief Executive Officer at Orange Park Medical Center. “During her time here, she has already had a positive impact on the hospital.”

Ms. Neely earned a Master’s in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Illinois, a Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University.

Comcast Opens Xfinity interactive store in Orange Park

ORANGE PARK – The first Xfinity Store in Clay County is now open in Orange Park. The store is designed entirely around the needs of Comcast customers, allowing them to learn about and experience the latest Xfinity services firsthand, plus handle account-related tasks like signing up for new services or exchanging equipment.

The store is located at 1340 Blanding Boulevard.

The new Xfinity Store has an open, inviting environment and features multiple counters staffed by Xfinity sales consultants, comfortable seating areas and displays that illustrate all the features of Xfinity’s full range of products and services, including Xfinity Internet, Xfinity X1, Xfinity Mobile, Xfinity Voice and Xfinity Home products. The latest mobile devices from Apple, Google, LG, Motorola and Samsung, as well as wireless accessories are available for purchase at the store.

Plus, customers can pay bills, get answers to account-related questions and return old equipment or pick up new equipment. They can even make appointments online ahead of time for certain service requests by using the online Xfinity Store Locator to find the nearest store and selecting the “Book Appointment” button.

“Our new Xfinity Store in Orange Park is designed entirely around the needs of our customers. We want them to feel welcome and safe and have the opportunity to test drive the latest Xfinity products and services,” said Javier Garcia, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Comcast in Florida. “People working from home can find out about our different Xfinity Internet services and speeds. Families that are looking to cut down expenses can learn about how Xfinity Mobile can save them money on monthly cell phone bills. Our employees are trained experts and can educate customers about features, demo products for them or help them set up their accounts.”

Due to COVID-19, Comcast has implemented several new store policies, including:

• Requiring face coverings for all employees and customers.

• Practicing social distancing measures such as limiting the number of customers in the store to maintain a six-foot distance between persons.

• Installing plexiglass dividers between interaction areas, kiosks and on workstations.

• Cleaning stores professionally twice every day.

The new store is open six days a week. Store hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bitcoin kiosks coming to Clay County Winn-Dixie stores

CLAY COUNTY – Coinstar and Coinme are launching more than 300 bitcoin-enabled Coinstar kiosks in Florida, including at six Winn-Dixie stores in Clay County. Customers will be able to buy bitcoin with cash at stores located in Green Cove Springs, Middleburg, Lake Asbury, Argyle and Orange Park.
