MIDDLEBURG – St. Vincent’s has expanded its neurosurgical care in Clay County, providing advanced surgical care for spine conditions.
The neurosurgeons at this clinic are a team of brain and spine specialists from across the country. They share best practices, knowledge and research, bringing the best of their integrated national network of care to the community.
“St. Vincent’s is a leader in neurosurgery, and this expansion allows our patients to receive this advanced spine care where they live,” said Bryan Walrath, President and CEO of St. Vincent’s Clay County. “This supports our commitment to delivering compassionate, personalized care to patients in the greater Clay County community.”
Surgery is rarely the first option for patients. However, suppose it is recommended as part of their care. In that case, the experienced neurosurgeons at St. Vincent’s Clay County develop highly specialized, advanced surgical treatment plans customized for the individual patient. Care teams provide comprehensive care for every patient at every step in the process. St. Vincent’s surgeons are skilled in all aspects of adult neurological care. They offer high-quality diagnosis and treatment, including:
● Minimally invasive and complex spine surgery
● Craniotomy for tumor resection
● Stereotactic radiosurgery
● Surgery for treatment of chronic pain
“We are excited to expand our neurosurgical practice into the fast-growing Clay County community,” said Dr. Endrit Ziu, a neurosurgeon with St. Vincent’s. “This will significantly improve the lives of those suffering from complex spine conditions and help St. Vincent’s provide more comprehensive care across Northeast Florida.”
St. Vincent’s is committed to growing alongside its community. This service line expansion will provide much-needed care for expanding neighborhoods in Clay County.
The county’s population has grown considerably over the last few years, and the state expects it to increase by 8.6% by 2030. More importantly, this strategy brings mission-driven healthcare to more patients across Northeast Florida; advanced spine surgical care is now available for patients at all four St. Vincent’s hospitals.
St. Vincent’s was recognized as one of the top 15 health systems in the country for 2024 by Fortune and PINC AI.
New patients are being accepted, and virtual visits are available. For more information about St. Vincent’s Clay County, visit healthcare.ascension.org/.
