3 TEMPORARY FARMWORKER POSITIONS: 1/1/17-10/30/17. All applicants must be able willing, qualified perform work described this JO/Ad & be available entire period specified. Hopkinsville, Christian County, KY. Possible wkly/daily hrs: 35-45+; 8A-5P; outdoors: weather, crops may cause hrs to fluctuate (-/+) may be wknd work; DOE. Crops: straw/hay, Tobacco, all types, Vegetables. Duties may include: Manual plant, hoe work, weed, crop irrigation, clean, spray, load/unload, stack small (2 strand) hay bales, pasture maintenance, land prep. May cultivate, & harvest field/vegetable crops. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, knives. till soil & apply fertilizers; transplant, thin, or prune crops; apply pesticides; pack, & load harvested products, post-harvest clean-up; may construct trellises, repair fences & farm bldgs, or participate in irrigation activities, machinery driving & upkeep & other related activities as per 45-2092 as per Farm workers (onetonline.org). Use employer provided tools, equip & supplies at no cost to worker, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, prune hooks, shears, knives; operate farm equip; except for intentional damage/theft. Handle, install, position, & move materials, lift, load, unload up to 75lbs. Extensive walk, stoop, bend. Attn to Detail: complete tasks. Self Control: control anger, avoid aggressive behavior, cooperative attitude. Employer provided housing available to any worker who cannot reasonably return to residence daily. ¾ guarantee applies. If prevailing, employer assures reimbursement inbound transport, subsist costs from place worker has come to work, whether in U.S. or abroad, to place of employment paid to work upon completion of 50% work contract period. Employer comply applicable Federal, State, local laws pertain to OT. Employer conduct interviews by phone or provide a procedure interviews be conducted in location where worker is being recruited at little or no cost to worker.
