Thomas Doyle Walker
On the 15th of August 2017, a family lost an amazing brother, husband, father, and grandfather. The world lost the best man anyone would ever know.
Thomas Doyle Walker was born in Tifton, Georgia July 10, 1947 to Dorothy Steve and Thomas Walker and passed at the age of 70. Tommy was well-known within the Orange Park community, having graduated from Orange Park High School and worked in Public Relations for Clay Electric Coop for 32 years.
For 49 years, he was married to and is survived by the love of his life, Judith Elaine Walker. He also leaves behind his brother Tony Steve and sister-in-law Connie Thomas, sister Andrea Chambers, brother-in-law Kenneth Lee and sister-in-law Wanda Lee, son Thomas Christopher Walker and daughter Lisa Walker Ernst, their spouses Avery Walker and Darin Ernst, and his grandchildren Eric Walker, Brandon Ernst, Grace Walker and Jordan Ernst. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Dorothy Steve, birth father Thomas Walker, and life father George Steve. Tommy was loved by all who knew him and his legacy is eternal. He lived in faith and awaits our reunion in Heaven.
A memorial was held in his honor on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Crosspointe Church Fleming Island, 1871 County Road 220, Orange Park, Florida 32003. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Tommy’s honor to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.

Joseph S. Asbell Jr.
Joseph S. Asbell Jr., age 73, of Green Cove Springs, passed away at home August 19, 2017. He’s a retired maintenance grounds keeper at Penny Farms Retirement Center and a member of Tabernacle Holiness Church. Preceded in death: his parents, Joseph Asbell Sr., Eugenia Brown Asbell; son, Joseph Alphonso Asbell; a daughter, Veronica Harris; and a brother, Johnny Lee Asbell.
Survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Darlene Milton-Asbell; a son, Michael Anthony Asbell; a daughter, Brenda Green; 2 brothers, Dennis Ray Asbell (Roberta), Roosevelt Asbell; 7 sisters, Mattie (Bobby) Coley, Betty Hunter, Leola Martin, Barbara (Alfred) Davis, Mildred Taylor, Dianese (Hugh) McClaffety, Brenda Martin; mother-in-law, Audrey Campbell; and a host of other relatives.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 State Road 16 West, Green Cove Springs, FL, Ronnie Surrency is Pastor, Rev. Abron Marshall, Officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs, FL. Viewing on Friday 5 pm - 7 pm at Pinkley-Smith Funeral Home, 21400 SE Hawthorne Rd, Hawthorne, FL and Saturday at the church 10:30 am - 11 am. No viewing after eulogy.
