Eugénie Therese Spears
Eugénie Therese Spears of Orange Park, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2017. Though her passing was unexpected, she was blessed to be in the presence of her family and the comfort of her own home.
Eugénie was born in Sligo, Ireland on October 14th, 1958 to Josephine (McCann) and the late Dermot McHale. She graduated from Richmond Hospital in Dublin, Ireland as a Registered Nurse (R.N.).
Soon after graduating, she moved to Saudi Arabia to practice nursing where she met her beloved husband, James Henry Spears. Together, they traveled the world until settling down in Orange Park, FL in 1989 with their two children, Shane Russell (32) and Sarah Marie (29).
Along with her husband and children, Eugénie is survived by her Mother, Josephine (McCann) McHale and siblings Mary McHale, Catherine (McHale) Loftus and John McHale. She also leaves behind several cherished nieces and nephews as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Eugénie was a woman of incredible strength and compassion with a fierce sense of humor. She embodied an overwhelming sense of calm and served as a true matriarch of the family. She will forever be loved beyond words and remembered through the hearts of all who love her for an eternity. May she rest in peace.
