Lambert Ernest Eulenfeld
Lambert Ernest Eulenfeld, 80, passed away on April 4, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born in Jacksonville, Fla. on February 13, 1937 to parents Ludwig Everard and Mary Cherry Eulenfeld, who predeceased him in death.
He was well regarded employee with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Map Reproductions and Archives. In the 1950’s he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol participating as an observer in documenting aircraft in the skies over Orange Park. Lambert had many hobbies, researcher regarding his German ancestry, a historian of Orange Park, Fla., a passion for restoring antique and vintage automobiles from Model T’s, Packard’s, Bentleys, Studebaker Hawk and his most recent Monte Carlo, stamp collector and collector of vintage television dating back to the 1940’s.
He spent his last days with family members reminiscing about family and his life experiences. Lambert cherished gospel music with his favorite hymn being “He Touched Me”. He was a loving and compassionate son, brother, uncle and friend. He was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed but we know we will see him again one day. He is predeceased by his father Ludwig “Lud,” mother Mary and brother Ludwig “Rod.”
He leaves behind sisters Lenora Eulenfeld Revels and Linda Eulenfeld Koen (Ed), brothers Larry Eulenfeld (Trish) and Lindy Eulenfeld (Christine), a special niece Tanya Eulenfeld (Beverley) and many other nieces and nephews. Marvin Eugene “JoJo” Davis
Marvin Eugene “JoJo” Davis of Orange Park, Fla. went to celebrate Easter with his Heavenly Father Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was born February 23, 1927 to Ernest and Agnes Davis in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Davis family moved to Orange Park in the 1930s. At 18, he joined the 1st Marine Division and served during World War II, spending time in China. Marvin was a member of Moose International, Lake Shore Lodge 2020, and Island View Baptist Church.
He worked at Cotney Tire, as a diesel mechanic for Hall Construction and as a machinist for Civil Service, Navy at NAS Cecil Field until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman who loved shrimp above all other food and who shared his mechanical skills with anyone in need.
As a long-time resident sometimes called “Curly” he loved to tell everyone that he was the official “night-mayor” of Orange Park. Marvin is predeceased by his wife Joan, his parents, his brother Carlos, and sister Florine.
He is survived by his brother William A. Davis; three daughters, Claire D. Smith, Melissa D. West (fiancé Mark Eckles), and Martha D. Boatright (Brian); seven grandchildren, Kelly Smith, Josh Smith (Lori), Andrew West (Marjorie), Allison Mattox, Robin Catbagan (Neilson), Anja Boatright (Sergio), and Calla Boatright; great-grandsons Owen Catbagan and Grayson Mattox; great-granddaughters Isla Catbagan and Joanna Smith; numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Funeral Services in celebration of his life were Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Moosehaven Chapel in Orange Park with Reverend Helen Taylor officiating. The family greeted friends at the Chapel at 12:30 p.m. before the service. Interment was at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank Moosehaven and the staff for their care and devotion to Marvin during his residence there. Noel Duncan Langston
Mrs. Noel Duncan Langston, 80, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Langston was born June 3, 1936, in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Basil McVoy and Mildred Frances (Smith) Duncan.
She had one sibling, Basil McVoy Duncan Jr. who preceded her in death. Noel attended Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C. and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Norfolk Chapter.
Noel arrived in Orange Park, Fla. as the spouse of a Naval Aviator in 1971 and lived there for the remainder of her years brightening the lives of those she encountered with her style and wit. “Fair of face and full of grace” Noel radiated elegance, charm, and above all that rare quality known as class.
Early in her remarkable life, Noel was an artist and aspiring fashion designer. She passed on a career and soon embodied all the excellent qualities of a strong and devoted U.S. Navy officer’s wife.
Yet, most of all, she was an amazing, beloved mother and grandmother. Her son, Nicholas Denning Langston Jr. preceded her in death in 2002.
Survivors are her daughter, Noel Stuart Wilcox (Langston) of St. Marys, Ga.; son, Bryan McVoy Langston of Orange Park; granddaughters, Victoria Noel Wilcox, and Hannah Jane Wilcox; and son-in-law, Mitch Wilcox.
Services will be held at the All Saints Episcopal Church on April 28, 2017 at 11:00, also at the Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, VA on May 22, 2017, at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Epilepsy Foundation in Noel’s name.

Helen M. Keller
Helen M. Keller, 89, long-time resident of Penney Farms, passed away April 9, 2017. Helen called herself a “prairie girl”, since she was born on a small farm near Hoxie, KS during the Great Depression.
Helen’s mother died in 1934 as a result of a violent dust storm in a successful attempt to rescue Helen at her school. Helen suffered lung damage as well, but managed to live an active life in spite of the breathing issues that plagued her.
Helen and her younger brother were raised by their father, Chuck, and other relatives.
She grew up to be an independent and resilient woman, who worked at a variety of trades before joining the US Army. She served in France in the 1960s and later, finished her military career as a Navy reservist.
Helen loved her cat and dog, Freckles and Maggie, and was a good friend to her neighbors at Penney Farms. She was a devout Baptist and was a kind and generous friend to many. Her immediate family, including parents and beloved brother, Jack, predeceased her.

Merle Williams
Merle Williams, 78, of Green Cove Springs passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Orange Park Medical Center. He was born in Joplin, Missouri on March 2, 1939 to the late Archie and Gladys (Cape) Williams and had been a resident of Carthage, Missouri prior to moving to Green Cove Springs in 2014.
Merle retired from Consumers Grocery and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin. He was a beloved husband, loving father, and a faithful Christian family man.
Merle never met a stranger, and was always ready and willing to help anyone. He enjoyed planting flowers in the garden for his beloved wife Mary Lou, and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved spending time taking care of animals, especially his dog Teddy.
Merle was preceded in death by his son, Donald L. Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Williams of Green Cove Springs; children, Connie Carpenter of Seneca, Missouri, Robin Clemons of Middleburg, and Merle Williams, Jr. of Green Cove Springs; brother, Donald Williams of Carl Junction, Missouri; cousin, Everette Williams of Independence, Kansas; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild, along with numerous other family members and friends. He was loved very much and will be greatly missed by all.
The family will receive friends locally at Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services for Merle will be held at Parker Mortuary, 1502 S. Joplin Avenue, Joplin, Missouri 64804 with interment at Jessee Osborne Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
