Karen Sue Bowling Kinzig
Karen Sue Bowling Kinzig, 54, of Green Cove Springs, Fla. passed away February 25, 2017. She was born in Brunswick, Ga. on December 8, 1962 to parents Charles Peyton and Frances “Arlene” (Dalton) Bowling. Karen had been a resident of the area since 1996 coming from Virginia Beach, VA and was of the Christian faith. She was extremely caring and giving to others and enjoyed the beach. Karen was a loving and devoted mother who supported her children with all their activities, especially baseball and cheerleading. She was a beloved wife, mother and daughter.
Karen is survived by her husband of 9 years, Paul Kinzig; son, John Albert Sgromolo (Callie); daughter, Emily Frances Sgromolo; parents, Charles and Arlene Bowling; sister, Diana Lynne Capito (Dale) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her dogs, Misty and Dylan; and grand-dogs, Hank and Dodger.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Jim Weldon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Faithful Fellowship Church, 5000 US Highway 17, Suite 18 #279, Fleming Island, FL 32003.

John Kenneth “Ken” Bradley Jr.
John Kenneth “Ken” Bradley Jr., 64, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., passed away February 26, 2017. He was born on February 25, 1953 in Jacksonville, FL to parents John and Anita (Knight) Bradley, Sr.
Mr. Bradley had been a school administrator and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed reading, watching country and western TV and movies as well as spending time at the beach and surfing. He was known as a wonderful cook and dearly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Bradley; children, Chris Bradley (Ashleigh), Elizabeth Carney (Timothy), Olivia “O.J.” Bradley, Stefanie Larkin (Robert) and Jason Pomroy (Monica); sister, Kathy Green (Mike); 14 grandchildren and his aunt, Jerry Williams. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Joe Barrie officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 2:00 pm until service time.

Vona Anne Smith
Vona Anne Smith, 55, of Green Cove Springs, Fla., passed away February 25, 2017. She was born on March 8, 1961 in Orange Park, FL to parents Delmar Miracle and Fern E. (Wager) Deel.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and of the Baptist faith. Vona was an animal lover who enjoyed sunsets on the ocean and fishing. She was a loving woman who was family oriented and could light up any room she entered. Vona is preceded in death by her father. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and daughter.
Vona is survived by her husband of 40 years together, George Edward Smith, Jr.; son, George Edward Smith, III; mother, Fern Deel; brothers, Mike Miracle (Becky), Glen Miracle and Dale Miracle; sisters, Janie Thomas (Kevin), Vella Davis (Don) and Debra Arnsdorff; grandchildren, Nathalia Smith and Katalina Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and her bulldogs, Gracie and Emma.
The family received friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 2, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating. Interment will follow at Springbank Cemetery.

Patricia A. Looney, 82, passed away on February 23, 2017. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla. and is a member of Black Pond Baptist Church.
Survivors include her 2 sons: Herman E. (Nancy) Looney Jr. and Arthur D. (Ruth) Looney; 2 daughters: Debbie A. (Wilson) Payne and Brenda G. (Marshall) Hatcher; brother, Giles (Rosalin) Johnson; sister, Mary Ellen LeBlanc; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 visitation was prior to service at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3644 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, FL with Pastor Charlie Hunt officiating. Burial followed in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
