Brannen – Patricia ‘Pat’ Ann Brannen
Brannen – Patricia “Pat” Ann Brannen, age 72, also known as Pat or Nana by her family, passed on to the Lord peacefully on June 20, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, after struggling with complications from Pneumonia. Pat was born May 18, 1946 in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of Roy and Emma Brown. Pat was a retired Cosmetologist of over 40 years and was also a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Seminary. Pat will always be remembered by her love of family, passion for the Lord, and her joy in being outside to take in nature or drop a line in the water for the next big catch (or sometimes not so big). Her big heart and “truths” would always make for a great time when getting together. Pat alongside her husband, Steve, raised their four daughters and extended family members, Robert and Jason Vires, as a close and loving family. When Pat and her daughters would get together it was often said “there was no denying that bunch of attractive and strong women.” Of course, nothing could get between Nana and her seven grandchildren as she was always their biggest supporter and friend. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd “Billy” Brown; and sister, Betty “Bea” Blakeney. Pat is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Nathaniel Brannen; her daughters, Sherrie (David Murray) Brannen Johnson, Lisa (Mike) Selby, Stephanie (John) Wingard, and Misty Roper; her 7 grandchildren, Cody Wingard, Taylor McDaniel, John Wayne McDaniel, III, Trevor Johnson, Mackenzie Wingard, Madison Johnson, and Drew Roper; her great grandson, John Wayne McDaniel, IV; her seven nieces; four nephews; and numerous other relatives and close friends. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL with Pastor Brian Baker and Pastor Bob Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Raiford Road Church - Celebrate Recovery at 9201 South State Road 121, Macclenny, FL 32063. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services, 250 North Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063 904-259-5700. Visit www.ferreirafuneralservices.com to sign the family’s guest book.
