Miller, Fuller 1-2 in Fleming Island 5K

FLEMING ISLAND – Fleming Island High School’s two top distance runners; Andrew Miller and Evan Fuller, both juniors, aced the field at the Fleming Island Track 5K fundraiser race held Saturday with Miller topping the field in a quick 16 minute, 40 seconds time.

In the women’s field, Fleming Island High’s Julie Franzoni won with a 21:21 time with Fleming Island High track coach Karen Moritz second in in 22:40.

In the mens race, Douglas dupuis, 31, took third in 18:01.

In the master’s race, Tom Hall was mens winner in 18:52 with Holly Sanford the womens champ in 23:20.

Age Group winners for the women were Michela Mitchell in 10-Under in 23;26; Kaygen Williamson, 11, of Grace Episcopal School, in 11-13 in 25:50; Jillian Laird, 18, in 14-19, in 22:50; Taylor Baker, 21, in 20-24, in 26:30; Heather McRae, 26, in 25-29, in 27:15; Trudy Humphries, 34, in 30-34, in 27:41; Summer Page, 39, in 35-39, in 24:14; Michelle Richards, 44, in 40-44, in 23:34; Annette Shannon, 47, in 45-49, in 23:43; Kathy Murray, 54, in 50-54, in 25:37; Kimberly Lundy, 59, in 55-59, in 26:44; Nancy Snow, 60, in 60-64, in 32:35; Dee Robertson-Lee, 66, in 65-69, in 36:48; Fred Wood, 76, in 75-79, in 27:36.
