KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – A 2-1 loss to Orange Park was a tough pill for the Keystone Heights High Indians soccer team, but coach Trevor Waters’ boys rebounded with a solid 3-2 district win over rival Crescent City High just four days later.

The win for Keystone Heights avenges an earlier 4-0 loss that dropped the Indians in their district 5-2A standings.

On Monday, Keystone Heights got stifled 8-0 by district leader Santa Fe. Keystone Heights will see Santa Fe again January 14 with a shot to replace Crescent City for the district second seed spot.

In district 4-4A, Oakleaf and Nease have both played five district games and will await results in January to see if they stay in the top three behind Creekside at the top. Fleming Island can help with a January 10 game at Creekside.

In district 2-1A, the St. Johns Country Day School boys control their ascent to the top with just one loss on the season and four remaining games; three in district. Forward Matt Wolfe is top scorer for Spartans.
