ORANGE PARK - Keystone Heights High baseball scored 12 runs in the fourth inning on the way to a 20-0 win over Orange Park High Monday night at Orange Park. Austin Bass homered for the Indians st spark a fourth inning run-barrage for Keystone Heights.
Keystone Heights (3-1) exploded for 16 hits on the night with Tyler Keaton smashing four and Josh Sheppard and Dalen Brown both getting two hits. Conner Osteen, on the mound with six strikeouts in just three innings for the Indians, registered four runs batted in with Nate Gagnon and Austin Bass both hitting for three runs batted in as Keystone Heights controlled the Raider pitching staff.
Keystone Heights scored three runs in the first inning to set the tone for the night with a hit batter, two walks and an error setting up a two run single from Crane. Osteen pitched for two line drive outs and a strikeout to squelch any Raider response to the early lead by Keystone Heights.
In the third, Osteen grounded into a bases loaded situation for the Indians to score the game 5-0. Keaton set up the barrage with a single with Gagnon and Sheppard both reaching by getting hit by pitches.
Keystone Heights exploded in the fourth with runs scored off a triple from Brown and a single from Keaton, plus a run off a wild pitch.
