Food Pantry gets a boost
GREEN COVE SPRINGS – On Sept. 23, Latter Day Saint Emergency Services trucks delivered 2,900 pounds of emergency food supplies to The Pantry of Green Cove Springs. Members and missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped unload the boxes, which included three days of shelf-stable food especially for emergency situations, such as Hurricane Irma flooding and power outages.

Dentist office raises funds for BASCA
FLEMING ISLAND – Margaret Lessig and the team at Fleming Island Family Dentistry recently presented BASCA Chief Executive Officer Beth Clark, third from left, with a check from its “Smiles For Life” program, which helps national and local children’s nonprofits. Lessig and team raised $1,640 that will help provides services and training for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. BASCA is based in Orange Park.
