Coakley named to Kirkwood Community College Dean’s List
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Kirkwood Community College named a Fleming Island student to its fall semester 2017 Dean’s List. Shinah Coakley of Fleming Island achieved at least a 3.3 grade point average or higher after completing 12 or more credit hours at the college.

Pablo Milla of Middleburg, FL named to Emerson College Dean's List for Fall 2017
BOSTON, Mass. – Pablo Milla of Middleburg, has been named to the Emerson College Dean’s List for the Fall 2017 semester. Milla is majoring in theatre and performance. The requirement to make Emerson’s Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
Located in Boston, opposite the historic Boston Common and in the heart of the city’s Theatre District, Emerson College educates individuals who will solve problems and change the world through engaged leadership in communication and the arts, a mission informed by liberal learning. The College has 3,750 undergraduates and 750 graduate students from across the United States and 50 countries.

Magruder named to Dean’s List
NEWBERG, Oregon – Jake Magruder of Fleming Island was among those who earned Dean’s List recognition at George Fox University for the fall 2017 semester. Traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or above on 12 or more hours of graded work to earn a spot on the dean's list.
Magruder is a freshman majoring in engineering.
More than 4,000 students attend classes on the universit’'s campus in Newberg, Ore. and at teaching centers in Portland, Salem and Redmond, Ore. George Fox offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, degree-completion programs for working adults, six seminary degrees, and 13 master’s and doctoral degrees.

Bach named to Shorter Dean’s List
Rome, Ga. – A Middleburg student is among those named to the Shorter University Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2017. Courtney Bach, a junior accounting major from Middleburg, was named to the Dean’s List.
To achieve this honor, students must have been enrolled full time and have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average for the term.
Founded in 1873, Shorter University is a Christ-centered, four-year liberal arts university committed to excellence in education. The university offers traditional bachelor’s degrees in 40 areas of study, online courses and degree programs, undergraduate programs for working adults, and master’s programs.

Chowan University Announces Fall 2017 Academic Honors
MURFREESBORO, N.C. – A Green Cove Springs student was named to the Dean’s List at Chowan University for Fall 2017.
Senior biology major Shelby Regina Griffis of Green Cove Springs was among those students who attained a grade point average between 3.25 and 3.79 for the semester in order to achieve Dean’s List honors.
As one of the fastest growing universities in the United States for the past 10 years, Chowan University, a Christian liberal arts university founded in 1848, enrolls more than 1,500 students each year and is located in the Historic Inner Banks community of Murfreesboro in Northeastern North Carolina. The university is in close proximity to the Outer Banks and Hampton Roads Virginia.

Clay students named to Columbia College Dean’s List
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Nine students from Clay County made the fall semester Dean’s List at Columbia College.
Alexander Witzman of Fleming Island, Ronald Wynn of Green Cove Springs, Roy Brown of Middleburg and Robert Bardroff, Casandra Coen, Kelly Dobson, Christopher Murphy, Breyana Stilts and Claudiapriscilla Valverde of Orange Park all completed 12 semester hours in a 16-week period and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0-point scale.

Clay residents graduate from Florida Gulf Coast University

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Three Clay County students graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in December.
Kelly Lierly of Middleburg earned a bachelor of science from the College of Arts and Sciences, Shavonne Canty of Middleburg earned a bachelor of science from the College of Education and Andrew Kummeth of Orange Park earned a bachelor of science from the College of Arts and Sciences.
