DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE: Meets Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. in the Zoning Department Conference Room, third floor, Administration Building, 477 Houston St., Green Cove Springs. Open to the public.
10TH ANNUAL I DID A HIKE! Feb. 24 with registration from 8-10 a.m., parking at the entrance to Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park and shuttles transport hikers to the trail on Camp Blanding. This 11-mile hike is the premier annual fundraiser to support the nonprofit Florida Trail Association. Tickets are $20 per person along with a $5 per vehicle entry fee into Gold Head Park. Registration is at the rec building in the picnic area of the park. There are take-out points along the way, if the overall hike is too long. No pets are permitted, service animals welcome.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH: “Young, Gifted and Black,” Feb. 25 at 5 p.m., New Hope Pentecostal Church, 920 Gano Ave., Orange Park, featuring poetry, dance and music to raise funds for homeless youth programs of Love and Hope Ministries.
