Reader takes issue with guest column on Dragway

I heard that Peter Swanson wants to close down Green Cove Dragway. I don’t know who he is and he obviously doesn’t know the hundreds of friends and families that meet up at Green Cove Dragway every Friday and Saturday nights enjoying the evening having a great time racing, BBQ's, and for some watching their favorite race cars go down the strip.

I meet new people every week. I drive to Green Cove every Saturday to go drag racing. I’ve been drag racing for almost 20 years now. The owners and staff are my second family. Green Cove Dragway is where we get to race at full throttle!

It’s a great feeling pulling into Green Cove to know that win or lose the race, we are making memories and living life at the race track. I wouldn't have met so many great people had Green Cove never opened. Thank you. Lotta’ love for Green Cove Dragway
