COFFEE TALK: The Clay County Democratic Executive Committee hosts Coffee Talk, a new weekly event beginning Dec. 1 from 10 a.m.-noon, 868 Blanding Blvd., Suite 124, as a place where like-minded progressives can have stimulating conversation.

TEEN COURT: Meets Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Clay County Historical Courthouse, 915 Walnut St., Green Cove Springs. CANE GRINDING: The Clay County Historical Society invites the public to this 2016 Holiday Festivity, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. Hendry’s Cane Grinding, 577 Branscomb Rd in Lake Asbury. Bring a covered dish and enjoy an Ole’ Fashion Day in Clay featuring Bluegrass music and interactive old-time activities for mature folk and young alike.

ADVENT CONCERT: The Robert E. Webber Institute of Worship Studies hosts an Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 4 at Grace Anglican Church on Fleming Island. There will be an offering taken during the service to benefit Waste Not, Want Not, a food rescue mission serving to fight hunger in Northeast Florida.

FREE CONCERT: The Orange Park United Methodist Church Handbell Choir will be “Ringing in the Holidays” Dec. 5 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Fleming Island Library, 1895 Town Center Blvd. Concert is free and open to all ages.

Following the meeting, a regular DEC meeting will be held to elect new DEC members to conclude the Reorganization.
